Partly — and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. Google's own May 2026 guidance says optimizing for its AI features is still SEO: the same crawlable, indexed, genuinely-useful content that wins in normal search is what shows up in AI answers. There's no separate "AI index" and no special AI markup that unlocks citations.

What's genuinely new is the surface. People now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity for recommendations directly, and those engines don't behave like Google's ten blue links — they synthesize, they pick, and they leave most businesses out of the answer entirely. You can rank fine on Google and still never get named by an AI.

So VizyReport isn't selling you a new set of hacks. We measure a new place your customers are looking, and show you where you're absent from it.
