Your visibility score is built mostly from how often your business appears when we run your category's questions across the engines — that's the largest part, because it's the thing that actually matters. Around it we factor in technical fundamentals (is your site crawlable, is your business info consistent) and authority signals like directory presence and reviews.
We recently rebalanced it. Schema markup used to carry more weight in our score; the evidence didn't support that (adding schema shows no measurable lift in AI citations), so we cut it down to a minor web-hygiene signal. We'd rather correct our own methodology than keep a number that flatters you for the wrong reasons.
The score is a directional benchmark, not a ranking. A 40 isn't a grade out of some universal standard — it's a baseline you watch move.
